Vietnam (2014)

Vietnam – the final country of my journey through Asia in 2014 and a very special, familiar stay. The contact of my parents to their vietnamese university fellow students persited over all the years and so I have the privilege to live with a family. It is a very special feeling to receive so much hospitality and trust of people you never met or spoke before. I am cosseted incredidibaly 🙂
Besides Hanoi I travel Cat Ba Island, Halong Bay and finally the Sa Pa Mountains. I experience Vietnam as “well-developed” economically – very different compared to the countries I travelled before. It is hard to belive, that this country was so devastated 40 years ago.
